A honeymoon in the Galapagos will be one of the most interesting and unique experiences of your life and if you’re reading this then you should just go ahead and book it because you won’t be disappointed. Of course if you’re afraid of boats or couldn’t see yourself sleeping in one for a couple of weeks then you should probably reconsider because all of the Galapagos is a nature preserve and there are no hotels built anywhere on the islands. In fact, there are very few structures period so you’d really be getting back to nature. It’s exceptionally secluded.
What you do is book a tour with a company that provides you a place to stay on a yacht. They don’t do cruises because those boats are just too big and would disrupt the wildlife, which is the inspiration for the ban on the building of any structures on the islands. The wide variety of creatures you’ll see in the Galapagos along with the secluded beaches is what makes such a trip a dream though. Obviously it’s not for everyone but you will remember the experience for the rest of your life if you choose to go.
Galapagos, Ecuador
You can essentially choose the level of luxury you’d like to experience on your tour of the Galapagos. If you want a big room with beautiful accommodations then you go with one of the lower passenger yachts. The lowest they seem to have is 12 people plus crew. You get lots of space and few people so if you’re into a secluded and personal trip that would be the way to go. They also have yachts with up to 50 people (rarely more than that) if you want a more social experience.
Some of the Galapagos tours will combine with trips elsewhere, like a stop in Ecuador or Peru. You can mix and match as you see fit and there will plenty of ways to make your dream come true. There’s a ton of fun to be had on the islands though. It’s one of the top destinations in the world for nature lovers because of the undisturbed animals that you get to witness and the huge variety. You wouldn’t believe the different and varying species that live on the islands. It’s just incredible.
There are many different ways to see the animals on your Galapagos tour. You can kayak, snorkel, hike, swim or simple sit on the beaches and look out at the ocean. You can stay on the boat and look through binoculars if you don’t want to disembark. You have choice and that’s a wonderful thing. Your tour can be whatever you want. It will be a dream come true though, especially for those that love the beauty of nature and like a little adventure. The folks that take you on these tours are experts and will share their vast knowledge of the area and all the creatures that inhabit it. You’ll find that they greatly enhance your experience and make your trip something far more wonderful than you thought it might have been.

If you’re getting married and you want your honeymoon in the USA then you should consider Key West. Florida is home to this sunniest of destinations and it feels like a different world down there. Relaxed is how you’ll feel throughout your trip as the people down there are concerned with little beyond enjoying another sunny day. Anyone that lives in Key West is there for the relaxed, simple lifestyle and anyone on vacation just wants to soak up the sun and have some fun in one of the southernmost locations in the continental USA.
There are several sweet destinations in Key West where you can have your honeymoon experience. The Ocean Key Resort & Spa is a fantastic hotel overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. They offer resort packages with cocktails nightly, themed rooms and a daily waterfront breakfast for two. The Simonton Court Key West Romantic Cottages are lovely cottages in the heart of Old Town Key West. They offer a honeymoon package and include flowers, champagne and a gorgeous sunset sail on a luxury yacht. Key West, Florida
There are several romantic activities you can pursue on your Key West honeymoon. The sunset is going to be the most important among these and you can see it somewhere never every night as you hold your spouse in your arms and tell each other how deliriously happy you are to be married. If you want to experience a genuinely romantic sunset then try a cruise out on the water. Find a sailing charter company (there are many) and have them bring you out for a dinner, champagne and a light breeze as the sun sets and you think of how lucky you are to be married. You can also look into the sunset celebration at Mallory Square, a fantastic Key West experience that you won’t forget.
You should make time one day to head up to the rooftop of the Crowne Plaza La Concha Hotel to watch the sun set. It’s an amazing view and you can get a few drinks and soak up the beauty. There’s also something to be said for renting a convertible and driving up and down the keys. The bridges between them are long and will be utterly perfect as the sun is setting. The breeze will be blowing through your hair and the light will be amazing and you’ll look over at your bride (or groom) and realize that you’re living a dream.
Hurricane season runs from July to November so you would be best to schedule your drip trip to Key West outside of that zone. It wouldn’t be much fun to live through whipping winds and wild thunder and lightning during your dream week. It would certainly be memorable though. A honeymoon in Key West will be an amazing experience and before you fly home you can spend a day in Miami, experiencing another part of fantastic Florida.

Perhaps you don’t want to limit yourself to staying at one resort. Perhaps you want to take a tour around the country to see it all, assuming that you probably won’t be back for a long time. If you’re not going to be traveling to Morocco with any frequency why not soak up a whole bunch of the country on your honeymoon? That’s what tours are for. Belize has a lot going for it as a honeymoon destination and you can’t go wrong investing your money there after your wedding ceremony. The official language of Belize is English so for English-speaking travelers it’s exceptionally easy to make your way around the country. It might seem like a small thing but you don’t want to be stressing not being able to speak the language when you’re on your honeymoon, especially in a jungle area like Belize. Dollars are accepted as well so if you’re coming from the United States it’s easy as pie.
Service at the hotels and restaurants in Belize is exceptionally good, whether you’re staying at the finest luxury hotel or the equivalent of a small bed and breakfast. You’ll always be treated with a smile and anything you need will be provided with ease. Belize is a hot place and temperatures can climb over 100 degrees but you can just take a dip in the ocean, jump in your pool or slip under a waterfall and enjoy the coolness that envelops you.

There are many fantastic places to choose from in Belize. Famous American director Francis Ford Coppola owns a small beachside resort that’s among the finest the country offers if you’re looking to soak up the ocean views and solitude. You can get a room at a top all inclusive resort and forget about having to search for restaurants and worry about money. Instead you can concentrate on booking tours into the jungle to see the thousands of amazing birds and animals that live in there. You’ll see some of the most colorful winged creatures in existence so be sure to bring your camera. You want to capture everything you see because you’re not going to see it anywhere else and it would be a shame not to. If you’re concerned about the environment there are many resorts in Belize that take special care not to cause any harm. The eco-resorts are often designed in fascinating and unique ways and are therefore even more interesting to visit.
The Mayan ruins in Belize are a must-see experience. If you visit the country you have to book a tour even if you’re not staying all that close. You’ll never see anything like them. There are wildlife sanctuaries galore, including some of the top destinations in the world to see that sort of stuff. You can snorkel in hundreds of fantastic locations along the shores of Belize. It’s a sweet, hot, fantastic place to visit and you will come hope happy and determined to go back for your tenth anniversary.

Paris is unquestionably the most romantic city in the world and if you want to have a truly memorable honeymoon you might consider traveling to France for a week or two in the City of Light. There are so many places to see it might not be enough to spend just a week so talk it over with your future spouse and see what he (or she) thinks. I have some information for you that should help make booking a trip a little easier.
There are certain spots in Paris that stand out as even more romantic than the others if such a thing is possible. Obviously the Eiffel Tower is stunning. It’s a world famous landmark but more than that it’s a beautiful architectural accomplishment. When you’re standing in front of it with your wife in your arms you’re going to feel a sense of love that’s so deep it stuns you. It’s won’t be clear why that’s happening and that’s all part of the charm of a trip to Paris, France. The Latin Quarter is also exceptionally romantic and features lots of nice spots for strolls and picnics if you want to spend some time outdoors. There are dozens of wonderful cafes and restaurants, including some with low prices.
Paris
Make sure you spend as much time as possible walking along the Seine. It’s a terribly romantic river with lovely little shops and restaurants dotting the edges. It’s recommended that you travel on your European honeymoon during a warm weather season since it’s hard to experience the pleasure of a romantic destination like Paris when you’re freezing. You can spend your time strolling down the Champs Elysees and enjoying the lovely breeze or the view from the Arc de Triomphe. Paris just stuffed with wonderful things to do.
There are many great hotels in Paris so you can’t really go wrong. I’ll point out a few of the classics though. The Plaza Athenee Hotel is one of the finest in all of Europe so it will cost a small fortune but there’s no question it will be worth the money. The Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel Hotel is located near the Eiffel Tower and features lovely rooms and great views. If you’re on a budget then check out the Comfort Hotel Lamarck Paris for a lovely time. The Hotel Kleber offers suites with hot tubs in them and I can’t recommend some time in a tub with your bride enough.
Your dream honeymoon list should include Paris because it’s a magical city. There are so many places to see and so much to learn about the city if you want. More than anything it’s just a place of romance. You could do nothing at all during your stay and you would feel like you were drenched on romanticism. If you simply sat in cafes and drank espresso you would be delighted. If you end up purchasing a trip to Paris you should pick up these two items. Thailand is an amazing place. It’s an exotic, beautiful locale in Asia known for great beaches, an amazing nightlife and a liberated approach to sexuality. There are literally hundreds of amazing hotels to choose from because the nation’s coast is dotted with islands that have been turned into vacation meccas for travelers. Thailand is paradise and if you’re looking for a great honeymoon destination you should be able to find any number of places to stay. I’m going to concentrate on three particular islands because they’re the absolute best. They are Koh Samui, Phuket and Phi Phi.
Koh Samui
Koh Samui offers you the Thailand beach vacation you’ve already dreamt of. This fantastic paradise has dozens of amazing hotels with spas, incredible views and plenty of activities. Getting there is as simple as a boat ride so don’t worry about the traveling. There are so many fantastic nooks and crannies on the island that you should hire a local guide for a day and have him take you around to the incredible beach spots, coves and jungle hideouts that wow travelers to the paradise that is Thailand. You can take a tour on an elephant’s back, spend the day in your bungalow, go down to the spa to get an amazing rub or take a dip in the ocean and feel the incredible warmth of the water around you like a bear hug.
Phuket
Phuket is a larger island and offers a considerable nightlife. It’s the perfect honeymoon destination for a couple that’s looking to relax at their hotel by day and go out for dancing and drinks by night. The hotels run the gamut so you can stay at one of the most luxurious places you’ve ever been in your life or you can save your money and go with something cheaper. The choice is yours and luckily there are dozens of great places. You can choose between resorts with lots of amenities or a simple hotel that will give you a room and maybe one restaurant. There are lots of sites online that offer guides to the Phuket nightlife so you can explore paradise any way you want. There are hundreds of clubs so you could just hit them all and really see where life takes you. You’re going to have a great time, that much I can guarantee. The wonder of paradise will sweep you up.
Phi Phi
Phi Phi island is a fairly small destination and is suited to honeymoon travelers that want a more tropical experience. There are several bays and coves on the island that are filled with beautiful blue water and will call you to them for a swim in the ocean. It will be the best trip of your life if you take the plunge. Activities on Phi Phi include kayaking, cliff diving, shark watching, rock climbing, sailing, snorkeling and spider monkey sighting. There are bars you can visit at night for a little partying and plenty of terrific restaurants so you can eat like a king. You can’t go wrong with any of the honeymoon destinations in Thailand so have a great time.

If you’re looking to go on a great honeymoon and you don’t want to break the bank then one of the best destinations is Mexico. It’s cheap to get there and your travel experience is guaranteed to be great. Any place where tourism is the number one industry will do anything and everything they can to ensure that all visitors have a great time. There are three places in particular that are perfect for honeymoons in Mexico and I’m going to talk a little about them.
Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta is a small city on the Pacific coast. There are dozens of great hotels in the city itself and a few others a little farther outside in case you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of it all. Most of these places are resorts so they include pools and restaurants and all the amenities you need to have a great honeymoon. If you never want to leave the place then you can pull that off. If you want to go on tours of the city or if you want to find a romantic place to eat you can do that too. There are always helpful people at the concierge desks of any hotel that can point you in the right direction.
Cabo San Lucas
Your vacation can also take you to Cabo San Lucas, another small city on the Pacific coast. Cabo is a little classier than Puerto Vallarta and will cost a little more. It’s still a relaxed atmosphere though and it also has lots of great resorts and attractions. If you want to golf they can accommodate that. If you want to go for a horseback ride on the beach with your new bride (or groom) then they can make that happen. There are hotels of every kind so you can get an all inclusive package that covers your room, food and alcohol or you can just buy the room. Options are easy to come by and Mexico is a great place to have a tropical honeymoon full of romance. It’s one of the best places to go.
Cancun
Cancun is on the Gulf side of Mexico and offers an atmosphere that will better serve those interested in the night life. Cancun is a big spring break spot but you can have your honeymoon there too. If you’re interested in getting out at night and dancing with your baby while you drink it’s the perfect place. There are many attractions to choose from and some of the finest hotels you can imagine. If you’re on a more limited budget then you can go for one of the cheaper hotels and spend your time exploring the city and the nightclubs. There are so many wonderful choices for you. Travel is easy when you’re going to Mexico. The airports are clean and friendly and getting through customs is a breeze. They want you there to spend your money and have a good time and you should join them for a fun vacation.

Everyone would love to go on an extravagant honeymoon but it’s not always possible. Sometimes you have to look for the affordable option instead. That doesn’t mean you can’t have a great time and feel like you’re living in the lap of luxury for the duration of your stay. I have some tips to help you plan the best budget honeymoon possible.
If you’re anywhere near Hawaii then Waikiki is a great destination for the budget traveler. It can feel like a big city but they have so many hotels that the prices are naturally driven down. Everything is close to the beach and if you want to escape the city then it’s just a short drive to some of the most breathtaking spots you’ve ever seen. Most places in Mexico are cheap too. Anywhere that features a large cluster of hotels is going to offer cheap rooms and be worth consideration. It’s also wise to travel in the off season. Your wedding date will obviously determine this but prices are quite a bit lower if you’re not traveling at peak times. Every destination has different peaks and valleys so consider that when you’re looking.
If you have frequent flier miles or you know someone who does you can use those to fly. The plane trip is probably going to be the most expensive part of your honeymoon so frequent flier miles would be an amazing gift. You can also start a honeymoon registry and have people pay for parts of your trip. Massages are a particularly nice idea. Nothing is as relaxing as getting a massage that someone else paid for.
It’s wise to use mass transit if you can. Anytime you rent a car you’re paying exorbitant taxes and you run the risk of getting into an accident and paying the deductible on your insurance. If you can use the buses or subways or cabs wherever you’re going it might be cheaper. This is especially true if you plan on spending most of your time at the resort.
It often pays to mention the fact that you’re on your honeymoon to anyone and everyone. The airline might give you a free bump to first class. The hotel might bump your room to something nicer. A restaurant might give you a free bottle of champagne. Everyone loves romance and a couple on their honeymoon is the ultimate embodiment of that. You can get luxuries for an inexpensive price: free!
Food will often be a huge part of traveling expenses. If you’re staying at a nice hotel they’ll have restaurants and they’ll feature significantly marked up prices. You can avoid those by venturing out to more affordable restaurants. You can also have lunch or breakfast on the go and on the cheap. It’s okay! Fiji offers you a chance to get away from it all, to be on the other side of the world (for most of you) where you can feel free to let all your stresses fall away. It’s the perfect destination for a honeymoon because you want everything else pushed out of the way so you are free to connect with your new bride (or groom). Travel to Fiji and you will experience that in more ways than you can imagine.
The distance really is part of the pleasure when going on a vacation to Fiji. You are thousands of miles away from everything in a place you’ve hopefully never been before and you’re experiencing romance like you didn’t think was possible. You are in Fiji but it feels like you’re in heaven. It’s also got a perfect location in the middle of the ocean close enough to the equator that the weather is always warm but not hot enough that you’ll feel like you’re melting. There are many islands to choose from too so you can determine how intimate you want your vacation to be.
Fiji
One of the best things about Fiji is the exceptionally beautiful resorts and hotels. If you’re thinking about traveling to this island nation for your honeymoon then chances are good you’re not doing it cheaply and that’s a good thing because you really want to spend some cash on these amazing accommodations. They are in some of the most beautiful locations on the planet and then they go over the top in making them as beautiful as possible. Can you imagine having your own bungalow with a view of the ocean, a hammock and a small pool you can relax in? Doesn’t that sound like the best vacation ever?
The spas in Fiji are out of this world too. The best hotels have the best spas and you’ll probably spend hours getting hot rock massages or having mud rubbed onto your body. If you don’t want to spend your days relaxing there are plenty of other things to do. An island nation like Fiji is loaded with spots for diving and you’ll see some of the most amazing creatures when you’re under water. You can go snorkeling if you’re not comfortable with submerging yourself. Other adventurous activities include horseback riding, kayaking, hiking through the jungles, sailing, windsurfing, biking and more. You will experience the most incredible and amazing honeymoon ever and you will do it on Fiji.
It’s easy to travel to Fiji and you won’t be hassled by the locals or by any governmental issues. The country makes a lot of money from tourism and they want your business. You’ll fly into one of the major airports and then depending on where you choose to stay you’ll take a taxi or a boat or both to get there. The pleasure will start as soon as you get off the plane and take a deep breath of the warm, fresh air. Your vacation on the islands of Fiji will be unforgettable as they make sure that you go home a happy couple.
